Malaria is a disease caused by a parasite Plasmodium which spreads to humans through the bite of infected mosquitoes. People who have malaria usually feel very sick with high fever and shaking chills. Some individuals develop complications and suffer from serious disease. This test identifies 2 species of Plasmodium namely P. vivax & P. falciparum.
